A Dragon Slayer is anyone dedicated to defending his/her nation against Chinese encirclement and hostility. Although China has sought to present itself as pursuing a peaceful rise in the Pacific and on the global stage, it is actually increasingly aggressive in all forms of warfare and national power. While most Americans think of military power as tools being employed in the defense of the US by the US military, China employs power projection across all spectrums and all domains. This includes influence and information operations, diplomacy, economics, and social connections or relationships. In order to understand the threat, think of the Soviet Union during the Cold War and their efforts to infiltrate American institutions and society. Then, add to the fact, that Americans largely fail to view China as an enemy and have opened the nation up to them because they asked us to do so. Since China seeks total war or unrestricted warfare against the US, this is a problem. They seek to infiltrate, shape, and exploit Americans wherever possible and they are doing it with impunity. This must be stopped!              

Why have we failed to stop the Chinese threat to date? The answer is quite simple. Unlike during the Cold War, where America understood it was at war with its enemies, we have welcomed China into the international system and looked the other way when it took advantage of us, such as stealing our intellectual property, manufacturing know-how, and military technology. We have handed over logistics and manufacturing to China at the expense of American jobs and security, in return for cheaper and lower quality goods. Essentially, a select few of our leadership, politicians, businesses, and special interest groups became rich by trading away our national security, jobs, and future freedom for momentary gains. This collective group are known as “panda huggers.” 

“Rather than facing the dragon and seeing it for what it is, many scholars or so-called experts would rather embrace and placate China. Thus, earning the nickname “panda huggers.” These pro-Chinese policymakers, advisors, and media pundits desire to ingratiate themselves with the dragon in the hopes of greater access, status, and future reward from the perceived inevitable Chinese ascension to power and dominance over the United States (US). This is misguided at its best and outright cowardice at its worst.”

Through awareness, perseverance, and action Dragon Slayers can stand up to China’s intent to undermine and replace the US. However, they also need to stand up to Panda Huggers within the US who trade our future as a nation for momentary access and dollars. This must end as well. For too long, have Americans been lied to by experts and deceived by our enemy. This is why America needs Dragon Slayers.

For too long we have been ambivalent, complacent, and deceived. It is time to slay this dragon.”
